Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.09%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which rose 2.97% or 4.10 points to trade at 142.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO) added 2.62% or 2.90 points to end at 113.40 and Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) was up 2.56% or 4.00 points to 160.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 3.00% or 17.00 points to trade at 549.50 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 1.75% or 2.30 points to end at 128.80 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 1.49% or 0.08 points to 5.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 156 to 127 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.32% or 1.73 to $76.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.86% or 1.44 to hit $79.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 16.80 to trade at $2,554.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.37% to 11.64, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 10.51.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 101.42.
