Nearly 86% of Japan households expect prices to rise a year from now, BOJ says

TOKYO (Reuters) – The ratio of Japanese households that expect prices to rise a year from now stood at 85.6% in September, down from 87.5% in the previous survey taken three months ago, the Bank of Japan said on Thursday.

Households expect inflation to rise by an average of 10% a year from now, the central bank’s quarterly survey showed.
