Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis to retire

(Reuters) – Ford Motor (NYSE:F) said on Thursday Ted Cannis, CEO of its Pro unit, which makes commercial vehicles, would retire by the end of this month.

Cannis, who spent 35 years with the Detroit automaker, helped spearhead Ford Pro since its formation in 2021 and build it into a high-margin business.

He was also involved with teams that helped develop the Mustang Mach-E and the F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck.

Ford said Andrew Frick, president of the company’s unit that builds gas-powered vehicles, would lead the Pro unit in the interim.

During the second quarter, Pro accounted for nearly 35% of Ford’s overall revenue.
